See what your land can make possible

A long-term energy lease can create a productive new use for suitable property. Hermes works directly with landowners from the first site review through development and operations, with clear expectations at every stage.

Land leasing questions

  • How much land do I need?

There is no single threshold for every project. Usable acreage, parcel shape, site constraints, electrical infrastructure, and local program rules all matter. Submit the property location for an initial review.

  • How long does development take?

Development timelines vary and can extend for several years depending on studies, interconnection, permits, program availability, and other approvals. We will describe the expected milestones and keep you informed as the project advances.

  • Is a project guaranteed after I sign an option?

No. An option generally provides the time and rights needed to study and develop the site. A project proceeds only if the required technical, commercial, legal, interconnection, and permitting conditions are met and the contractual conditions to proceed are satisfied.

  • Can I keep using part of my property?

Often, yes. Continued use depends on the proposed project area, safety, access, construction, and lease terms.

  • What happens at the end of the project?

Decommissioning, equipment removal, and restoration are addressed in the lease and may also be governed by permits and state or local requirements.
